Prepping for Boracay
In preparation for our planned Boracay outing early next year, I set up kuya’s kiddie pool fir them to enjoy. We bought this pool years ago when Kuya was just 4 yrs old, its nice to see that it still works and carries water well. Now if the pool had its own hydraulic hose, setting up would be a breeze, but it was a good workout pumping the air onto the sides and getting water in via a regular hose.
Zack and his Kuya Z had a great time, they probably stayed on the pool for more than an hour and took a lot of prodding for them to get off.

I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. "
Their Own Room
Now that the kids are getting bigger we have came to the conclusion that even our king sized bed is not big enough to accommodate them. We want to keep them in our bed as long as we can but they just couldn’t keep growing.
So my wife and I decided that we’ll buy them their own bed once the house is finished. We found this twin over queen bunk bed and it’s perfect for both of them. It can even accommodate another child should we decide to have one. We may have to wait another year for this plan to push through so we’ll cherish this last year with them sleeping in our own bed. Next year whether we like it or not they’ll have a bed of their own.
Z’s birthday gift
When we go to a mall and look at toys or musical instruments, my eldest son Z, would usually quip: Dad I want that for my birthday gift. The funny thing is, he easily changes his mind, whenever he sees another interesting toy or instrument. His first request was that of a MF gibson flying v in kiddie size, and then he wanted trumpet so he could try out a wind instrument, and then his interest shifted to the violin after trying it out.
Well, whatever it is that he ends up wanting, I hope and pray that I have the resources to provide.
Rehearsals
July is understandably a busy month for me because it is the anniversary month of our local church, which I am currently the musical director. However this year, it’s not just me that is busy, my son and my students are also busy rehearsing for their upcoming recital.
It’s funny and at the same time amazing that my son has grown to an age where he can play with a band! His interest in music is probably the best legacy that I have imparted on him. Having the same talent and looks is just as much of a confirmation as having paternity testing done. It will be a busy month for both of us…
