Nirvana was a very strong cultural phenomenon back in my younger years so everyone my age was either influenced by their songs directly or indirectly.

Home Repairs

Since its the rainy season, we expect to see some damage on our old house. If my information is correct, half of the house was built during the late 70′s, and the other half was built when I was around 8 years old.

Now that our house is scheduled for a total reconstruction, we don’t want to spend too much money on repairs as much as possible. Although I love this house and have all my childhood memories on it, I can’t wait to get it fixed for the safety and convenience of my family. It’s also their turn to have happy memories. so for now we will just have to do the minor home repairs.

Wish we had manufactured homes available here, so we can pick a nice house and have it delivered to our lot! For now we wait and we’ll have to see the house being built piece by piece.

House Plans

One of the things that we’re looking forward to this year is the building of our new house. I know it’s not a walk in the park and the process is going to cause us a lot of headaches but we know it will be worth it in the end. We almost ended up moving to an apartment earlier when we discovered water on the floor, one particularly rainy day but thank God the rain stopped on time. We’re in a flood prone area but we’re just going to build the house higher and buy wooden furniture like those Adirondack chairs I saw online. We can just add a stylish and colorful pillow to make it more interesting.

This week, we are going to meet with our architect to put in paper the design we wanted. The house would just be a simple two-storey house but it would be something we can call truly ours.

A bathroom has indeed been always a place of comfort and cleansing for us. And we should admit also that we can’t properly live without it or with it being shabby and dirty. Besides from the toilets, sinks and the shower, there is that thing called a medicine cabinet which every bathroom should have. Examples are those facial creams and cleansers that we apply for cleaning our faces, shampoos for our hair and a bit of perfume to freshen up our day.

Who says an old house will never look gorgeously stunning? A house, though olden through time, can always look beautiful inside and out. Most often than not, an old house, especially that which is made of wood, is redecorated to have a cabin-like or antique style. You do not actually need to have the whole place renovated, besides, when things and furniture are old or antique, they are of higher value. It’s Nice to Have Your Own Home

A house is one of the most important investments a family can make.  I should know because we have spent almost five years renting.  Renting a place not your own is hard.  You have no control over it.  You can’t make any renovations without the landlord’s approval and when you do make some changes you leave it all behind when you move.  Moving can also be tough.  Your children will leave behind the place they call home for a couple of years.  They not only leave the place they called home but they will also leave behind their friends and their school.  That is why I’m glad as early as now we have settled down to our own home.  It might not be a brand new townhouse or a high rise condominium but it’s a place we call our own.  I’m happy we can say goodbye to moving from apartment to apartment.  Truly, it’s nice to have your own home.
