It’s Nice to Have Your Own Home

A house is one of the most important investments a family can make.  I should know because we have spent almost five years renting.  Renting a place not your own is hard.  You have no control over it.  You can’t make any renovations without the landlord’s approval and when you do make some changes you leave it all behind when you move.  Moving can also be tough.  Your children will leave behind the place they call home for a couple of years.  They not only leave the place they called home but they will also leave behind their friends and their school.  That is why I’m glad as early as now we have settled down to our own home.  It might not be a brand new townhouse or a high rise condominium but it’s a place we call our own.  I’m happy we can say goodbye to moving from apartment to apartment.  Truly, it’s nice to have your own home.

Prevent Molds From Forming

If there is one thing that we have to be wary of, that are the molds that are found in our home.  Not only it ruins whatever it comes in contact with but it is also a health hazard.  If you have small children inside the home, you wouldn’t want to have mold near them.  Molds typically grow in cupboards, wardrobes, or in the walls.  The primary cause of molds is having a humid air inside the house.

Comparing our Abode

We were living on the third floor apartment before we transferred to our house. The two couldn’t be farther from night and day. Our previous apartment is so light and breezy because it is at the top floor while our house is a bit dark because we’re sort of lower than everyone else. One advantage though of living in our house is that it’s cooler than living at the third floor. We don’t get much sunshine that’s why. Living in our previous apartment, however, was like applying indoor tanning lotions because we get the full blast of sunshine on our skin.  That’s what I miss and of course, the view.  Anyway, we miss it but there’s one thing we like in our house that beats living in an apartment and that’s not having to pay any rent every month.

Christmas With The Family

Christmas is the most wonderful of all holidays. Christmas season gives great joy to everyone who celebrates it. The memorable things about Christmas aside from being together with your family are the magnificent Christmas decorations and the abundance of gifts.

Sometimes though Christmas is also associated with being expensive. I know we don’t want to spend all our hard earned money on a single holiday but we still need to celebrate, right?
