Pedring Aftermath

Thankfully we were unscathed during the Pedring storm, but I can’t say the same to our brother up north.

They were hit very hard, and the sad thing was a follow up typhoon also hit the northern part all within the same week. Water dams were opened and widespread flooding occured. It was like Ondoy again, but not in Manila this time.

People are now just returning to their homes and some of them will probably have to find new work. I hope they can find relief and replacement jobs, like Legacy System Operator Jobs, or any other job for that matter, and hope that they can quickly recover from this unprecedented ordeal.

Typhoon Kabayan – Muifa

Typhoon Kabayan, internationally known as Muifa is currently right beside the Philippines and based on forecast tracks, is threatening to hit Japan. There has been multiple warnings and advisories regarding the Muifa/Kabayan’s strength so we hope that our countrymen will heed those. Although it will not hit Luzon directly, it is reported to be pulling in rain into our country so we can’t go wrong by praying and being prepared .

Spared by Typhoon Juaning

We were sadly expecting a very wet and stormy week this week, but thank God, the storm veered a little bit more to the north. All we got here were regular to moderate rain showers with very little gustiness. The thing about storms is you really never know. When typhoon Ondoy came, I didn’t mind it because it was just a low pressure area forming near land. I was thinking that it will just be a weak storm, but little did I know that although it had weak winds – it was carrying a months worth of rain! After that incident in 2009, I have been a keen observer of weather, always praying and hoping for good weather and to be spared from the worst.
